The New York Jets suffered a cruel blow to their Super Bowl bournes as recently- acquired quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a suspected torn Achilles tendon on his first drive and will be out for the season.
New footage has shown the horrifying moment that Aaron Rodgers’ Achilles tendon appears to snap on his New York spurts debut.
Rodgers held on to the ball on a quick end play with Leonard Floyd beating obnoxious lineman Duane Brown before getting to the quarterback who has suffered a potentially season- ending injury.
The 39- time-old looked to escape the pressure but Floyd read his intentions and wrapped him up before bringing him down for a sack.
In the post match media conference, spurts head trainer Robert Saleh says the platoon sweat a serious Achilles injury, and bone they anticipate an MRI checkup on Tuesday to confirm. If so it’s an injury that’s nearly certain to sideline Rodgers for the rest of the season. Footage participated across social media shows the unfortunate moment, with Rodgers quailing in pain and having to be helped off the field before being transported to the locker room. Rodgers was seen looking dejected as he left the field- putatively knowing the extent of the injury and that his season was potentially over.
It had been Rodgers’ first drive with the platoon, playing at the spurts’ MetLife colosseum in a meaningful game for the first time after many snaps in their finalpre-season game.
He came out to huge applause from the thousands of suckers in attendance as spurts suckers ate him for the launch of their new period following the off- season trade from Green Bay.
Despite losing their ballot quarterback, the spurts went on to win the NFL nature 22- 16 against the Buffalo Bills in dramatic overtime fashion.

Tim Boyle is the only other quarterback option having been inked to the practice team. Wilson had some emotional moments, but missed several throws which Rodgers would probably have made and he also threw a poor interception to Matt Milano for the Bills.
The spurts will be buoyed by the return of Breece Hall, still. The running back exploded for 127 yards on just 10 carries in the game, returning from his own Achilles injury last season.
