Snooker star Judd Trump stuns crowd with’  mischievous’ trick shot at Shanghai Masters

Judd Trump’s trick shot  transferred the crowd wild at a snooker  event in Shanghai.

Judd Trump  transferred the Shanghai Masters crowd into a  delirium after his stunning trick shot during his 6- 5 palm over Jack Lisowski to reach the quarter- tests. Trump didn’t enjoy a  fully comfortable match as snooker returned to China for the first time since 2019 due to Covid- 19, but wowed those in attendance during the sixth frame.

Trump had been leading 3- 2 and set to take a two- frame lead having been 108 points clear of his opponent, but  set up himself in a  delicate position on the green. It had been  deposited on the other side of the blue, with Trump forced to come off a  bumper in order to make contact and go giving up a snooker- though the frame had  formerly been won.

But the four- time Triple Crown winner was in the mood to show his immense  bents, turning on the style by coming off the corner of the right-middle  fund with pace to clip the green and  shoot it into the  contrary  fund-  transferring the Shanghai crowd into  ecstasies as they  saluted the stunning trick shot.   Social media echoed those cheers, as on X( formerly known as Twitter)@CamH_29 described Trump as a “  mischievous boy ” while@_RachelH1995 wrote that the shot was “  unthinkable.”

Trump indeed left himself on the brown coming as he went on to make a 119 break, comfortably  transferring himself into a two- frame lead which  also turned into three as he looked set for palm at 5- 2, but Lisowski had other ideas.

The world No 14 recovered to tie the match at 5- 5 before Trump claimed the  pivotal 11th frame, only after all stopgap had appeared to be lost when in the final frame Lisowski appeared on top, replanting a  delicate brown and leaving himself with a simple black as he was on his way to the coming round.

But those  before cheers from the crowd in China soon turned to gasps as they were gobsmacked that Lisowski ever missed a pink into the middle  fund, allowing Trump a return to the table where he picked off the remaining balls to  important relief as he’ll face either Mark Selby or Hossein Vafaei in the coming round.

Trump himself had admitted that he allowed that he’d thrown down the chance of palm, in what would have been a waste of his stunning earlier trick shot, but Lisowski’s error gave him the chance to stay in the  event.

“I allowed I had blown it when I missed the  unheroic in the last frame,” said Trump.” He was replanting some really good balls and had one tricky shot left, and I allowed it was game over because he looked good from 5- 2 down. I was  formerly allowing about the flight home, but obviously he missed that one. The balls were there but you have to clear up.”
