NFL expert says Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are ‘trolling us all’ with their romance
NFL analyst Colin Cowherd shared his theory about the rumored relationship between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift.
NFL analyst Colin Cowherd weighed in on the potential relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
The Kansas City Chiefs have been rumored to be dating Swift for several weeks. The rumors started after the two were spotted together at an event in New York earlier this month.
Such rumors did not subside and culminated in Swift’s appearance at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24. The pop superstar sat next to Kelce’s mother, Donna, in a separate box as the Chiefs cruised to a 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears in Week 3 of the NFL season.
Neither Kelce nor Swift have confirmed a potential relationship, but neither have denied it. The two were seen leaving Arrowhead Stadium together on Sunday after the Chiefs beat the Bears, with Swift wearing a Chiefs jacket around her waist.
Cowherd spoke Tuesday on his show “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” for Fox Sports, where he touched on the topic of Kelce and Swift. Speaking with fellow analyst Nick Wright, Cowherd explained why he’s skeptical about Kelce and Swift’s potential relationship. The cowherd said:
“I usually don’t care about this stuff and my hunch is they’re all teasing us, but a Travis Kelce-Taylor Swift relationship could be great.
“I feel like Kelce is really good with social media, his brand is going strong and he’s been in about six commercials now.”
Cowherd then asked Wright for his opinion, after which the analyst explained why he thinks the relationship between Kelce and Swift could help the team re-sign Chris Jones when his contract expires. That expires next summer. Jones waited for a new contract and missed the season opener before reaching an agreement with the Chiefs, but is out of contract at the end of the 2023 season.
Next, Cowherd explains how sports teams use non-athletic elements to persuade players to join them.
“Los Angeles has always sold Hollywood and sunshine, there’s no doubt about that,” Cowherd added. “When you go to Los Angeles, you pay more taxes, traffic is worse, and they don’t always have the right team.
“LeBron [James] came here for the brand and the entertainment. Teams sell what they sell. [New York] The Yankees must be paying you too much, but the Lakers have sold sunshine and potential revenue beyond basketball.
“Travis Kelce, a tight end, appeared in seven commercials. He’s in a vaccine commercial. »
