Brooks Koepka was well aware of the $4 million first-place prize he’d just won. After all, it wasn’t his first LIV Golf rodeo in Jeddah having won the event last year. But his latest victory also earned him an additional $4 million in bonus money. And apparently he had no clue.
With his victory, Koepka moved up to third place overall, trailing only Talor Gooch in the season-long standings. Additionally, $4 million is a nice little parting gift even though the five-time major champion was not awarded the $18 million first-place prize.
Anyway, this is Koepka’s priceless response to learning about the bonus during his live TV post-round interview. or by live broadcast. or whatever the youngsters these days refer to it as. You see what I mean. Koepka had no idea, though he was glad to learn about his most recent find.
“I did? Oh. In the video, Koepka can be heard saying, “Sweet, that’s a good feeling, that’s a good feeling. “Thanks for telling me I’m wealthy.
Surely pleasant, huh? Kudos to Koepka. We’d make a joke about how expensive diapers are for new parents, but at this rate, Brooks could own his own Huggies factory.
