Red Bull chief delivers worrying verdict of 2024 F1 car as inside information shared.

Red Bull have blown away rivals Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren and Aston Martin this season with Max Verstappen dominating the grid, and a hint has been dropped that they are likely to do so again in 2024

After disclosing a conversation he had with Adrian Newey, Eddie Jordan believes Red Bull might be untouchable once more in 2024.

Longtime head of car design at Red Bull, Newey was instrumental in the development of each championship-winning vehicle the team has ever produced. He is regarded by many as the best designer Formula 1 has ever seen because of that, as well as his prior work at McLaren and Williams.

The 64-year-old is still an essential part of Red Bull’s car development team, despite not having as many duties as he did in the past. He is therefore fully aware of the status of the champions’ 2024 campaign.

Former F1 team owner Jordan said he recently spoke with Newey and shared what the Red Bull chief told him, which paints the picture of what is likely to be another one-sided title race next term – a worrying prediction for their rivals.

“I was at a function the other night with Adrian Newey… he tells me that he feels that the evolution of what they’ve got at the moment is going to be so difficult for anyone to catch up with,” the Irishman told TalkSPORT.

“So, please, people out there, depending on whether you’re a Red Bull fan, get ready for either a boring time or an exciting time. Max [Verstappen] will be excellent, and it will be similar.

Since a number of car design rule changes were made in advance of the 2022 season, Red Bull has dominated. The Milton Keynes-based team was able to adjust more quickly than any of its competitors, and as a result, they have ruled supreme, sweeping both the drivers’ and constructors’ championships in each season.

Verstappen and Sergio Perez have won 33 of the 39 Grands Prix between them. And they have also used their superior machines to take 20 pole positions, 52 podium finishes and 18 fastest laps across the two seasons.

The gap has been closed over the course of the season by McLaren, and Mercedes has also made some advancements, but Jordan is adamant that drivers like Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris still do not possess a vehicle comparable to the one that Verstappen is using.

No matter what engine Mercedes has, the car isn’t competitive, he continued. Additionally, the car’s aerodynamic qualities allow it to be driven aggressively and maximized, as Max Verstappen is able to do. However, a lot of that can be attributed to Max’s natural talent, as Checo [Perez] is unable to perform the same tasks as Max.
