Taking to Twitter/ X, Rapoport conceded that all this will depend on whether the Jets are in the AFC Playoffs race at that point and if the quarterback is able to ‘protect himself’ from hits. As it stands, the Jets enter their next clash against the Buffalo Bills at 4-5, meaning Rodgers’ teammates now have a job on their hands.

According to Fox Sports, Rodgers sent a video of himself working out to Jets officials, who were gobsmacked by how ahead of schedule he is. The quarterback apparently wants to receive the green light to return to practice on December 2.

One significant details is also the fact that their opponents in the next five weeks remain very much in the AFC playoff hunt. During that period, the Jets will face the Buffalo Bills, the Miami Dolphins twice, the Cleveland Browns, and the Houston Texans during a pivotal run of games.
