Jordan Spieth will serve the remainder of his term on the PGA Tour’s policy committee after Irishman Rory McIlroy resigned last week
Jordan Spieth has been selected to complete the remainder of his term as a member of Rory McIlroy’s PGA Tour Policy Committee, according to a statement from Commissioner Jay Monahan (via NBC’s Rex Hoggard).
“Jordan has extensive experience with the Tour’s governance process, serving on the Player Advisory Council for two years (2017-18), including as PAC Chair in 2018, and as Player Director for three years (2019-21),” the statement said.
Said.
Spieth joins Patrick Cantlay, Charley Hoffman, Peter Malnati, Webb Simpson and Tiger Woods on the board. Adam Scott is scheduled to succeed Hoffman in 2024.
McIlroy announced last Wednesday that he would relinquish his board seat as LIV Golf and the PGA Tour work towards a merger.
In response to a question from MailSport about these contracts, McIlroy said on Tuesday: “[It’s] not something I signed when I joined the board.”
