Lando Norris delivers health update ahead of Abu Dhabi GP

Lando Norris was involved in a serious accident in Las Vegas over the weekend and was taken to the hospital for preventive tests.

Ahead of this weekend’s final race of the season, Lando Norris has confirmed that she is perfectly fine after her big crash at last weekend’s Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Norris crashed on the early laps at Sin City and she was taken to hospital for precautionary tests after she was seen shaking in the cockpit.

The driver of a McLaren on cold tires clumsily hits a bump and the MCL60 hits him, sending him flying backwards into a wall before spinning around and colliding head-on with another driver..

The second shock was particularly strong and left me breathless.

It was a strange accident considering how aggressively his car hit him, especially given that that particular collision didn’t cause any problems throughout the event.

Norris admitted it was just “a bit of bad luck”, but admitted the bump may have occurred at a “worse angle than normal”.

According to a report from Total-Motorsport.com, Norris told reporters: “The obvious reason is that there’s  a pretty big dent (in the corner).”

“Then the tires are going to get cold, so we’re going to lower the ride height than normal, and when you’re going through all this for the first time with a lot of cars, you’re going to have a lot less downforce than  you already have.

“And there were a few other little things going on in the background that caused this bump to have a bigger impact than usual. I think  I took the picture from a worse angle than usual.

“We always knew there was a bump there, but  for some reason the impact was much greater than before. So just a little bit unlucky at the same time.”

Driver safety is very important, so Norris was rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, he was quickly released.

However, his health remained a cause for concern on social media after pictures of him heavily bound in hospital circulated.

However, before the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, he stressed that although he had a “decent impression”, it was “not bad at all”.

“Honestly, I wasn’t bad at all. They just wanted to do a lot of tests and stuff. It’s like the new normal these days,” Norris said.

“But I was fine.  I was obviously out of breath when I got hit and I might have heard it on the radio or something, but it just  caught me a little bit off guard  and it happened  quickly.

“There’s still some effect, but it was okay. I’ve never had any problems.
I was even more disappointed that I had to retire from the race  so early in Las Vegas.
