Aaron Rodgers “speeding up” comeback with new motivation as New York Jets struggle

Superstar Aaron Rodgers suffered a hammer blow just four minutes into his New York Jets debut, but a return could be on the horizon before the end of the year.

Even if the New York Jets don’t make the playoffs, Aaron Rodgers could be looking to make a miracle comeback after his season was cut short due to an Achilles injury.

The four-time NFL MVP’s legendary debut at MetLife Stadium ended after just four offensive snaps, as he was sacked by Buffalo Bills defensive end Leonard Floyd. When the 39-year-old superstar limped off the field, there were fears his season could be over just minutes into the game.

Rodgers underwent surgery in September and appears determined to defy expectations and return before the end of the Jets’ season. A return as early as mid-January had been considered, but the former Green Bay Packers QB is determined to return, possibly before the new year.

He initially admitted that he was not in the mood to rush things, especially as he wanted to prevent the injury from happening again as he entered the final stages of his rehabilitation. However, Jay Glazer admitted on FOX’s Thanksgiving pregame show that he could return to his cleats regardless of whether the Jets make the playoffs or not.

“Aaron Rodgers is coming back to New York,” Glazer confirmed. “He’ll be with the Jets next week. Here’s the thing about Aaron Rodgers. I was initially told that Aaron probably wouldn’t try to come back if they were eliminated in the playoffs.

“Things changed last week. Even with them gone, I think Aaron still wants to show he can come back from a torn Achilles faster than any quarterback ever.”

He added: I try not to say to everyone, “Aaron, just ask that old guy Aaron Rodgers running around everywhere to draw a little circle to keep him out of harm’s way.” Aaron Rodgers is definitely trying to speed up when he comes back to the New York Jets.”

Just a few days ago, Rodgers admitted he still has a long way to go if he wants to defy the odds and pull off a spectacular comeback for the New York Jets. On his weekly segment on The Pat McAfee Show, former Super Bowl champion said, “We’re still a little far from there.
We’ve got to get to the marker, and we’ve got to get there.” On the practice field.

“Then open the window for me to get back in there.” So a lot of things have to happen. That’s not to say you can’t build up your speed, but there’s still a lot of work to do before you can talk about getting on the field.

“Of course you have to be able to mix.” There’s no doubt about that,” he declared.
“But more than that, I have to be healthy, be able to move, be able to protect myself and be strong on every throw.”

The Jets have struggled with his absence so far this season. Struggling with stability. Replacement Zach Wilson stepped in to fill the QB void.

They have gone 4-6 during the current campaign, losing two games in a row against the Las Vegas Raiders and the Buffalo Bills and face the Miami Dolphins on Friday – when Tim Boyle lines up at quarterback, originally signed as the team’s third string QB but handed a chance with Wilson’s struggles evident.
