Matthieu Pavon, the victor of this week’s PGA Tour, can attest that performing excellently in the tournament leads to substantial rewards.
The PGA Tour witnessed history being made at the 2024 Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines, as a 31-year-old newcomer from France became the first-ever French player to secure a victory.
Displaying remarkable skills, Pavon managed to secure a birdie on the 72nd hole, ultimately leading him to triumph.
Pavon’s exceptional final round consisted of five birdies, with his putt on the 18th hole standing out as particularly crucial.
This significant win not only marks his first-ever triumph on the Tour but also serves as his second global victory in the last four months.
Pavon will take home $1.62 million for his efforts. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Nicolai Hojgaard, who was on the 2023 European Ryder Cup team, made birdie on the final hole to take solo second and a check for $981,000.
With $9 million up for grabs, check out.
