LIV GOLF CONFIRM REPLACEMENT FOR COMMENTATOR WHO QUIT DAYS BEFORE 2024 SEASON.

LIV Golf have confirmed the Troy Mullins’ replacement for the 2024 season as well as a new addition to the broadcast team.

LIV Golf has announced that Rachel Drummond, a former Sky Sports reporter, will replace Troy Mullins for the 2024 season.

Days before the third season of LIV, Mullins, a former long drive competitor, made the choice to step down from her role as on-course reporter and commentator.

Mullins stated that she thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the enjoyable and engaging tasks she accomplished, along with the valuable experiences she encountered. She confirmed her departure.

The breakaway tour hosts their first of 14 events in 2024 in Mayakoba, Mexico over 2-4 February.

Jon Rahm will be making his debut with his LIV team that is expected to include his Ryder Cup teammate Tyrrell Hatton.

Via a report from Sports Business Journal, LIV have confirmed Drummond will take over Mullins’ duties on the pre and post-game shows.

Drummond, a former Ladies European Tour player, will also be on the driving range during broadcasts to interview players.

The report has also confirmed that all five of LIV’s broadcast team have agreed contract extensions through to 2025.

Arlo White is LIV’s ‘play-by-play’ man in the studio alongside analysts Jerry Foltz and the charismatic David Feherty.

Dom Boulet and Su-Ann Heng have also agreed to extend their contracts with LIV.

It has also been reported the broadcast team will have a new member of the team: Christian Cosby.

Cosby is said to be the new host of LIV’s ‘Club 54’ show which airs before and after tournament rounds.

LIV have also confirmed to SBJ their broadcasts on American network, the CW, will be rated through iSpot and Nielsen.

However, according to Will Staeger, the chief media officer of LIV, do not anticipate the figures on a weekly basis.

He stated that they do not view their numbers as a weekly story; therefore, he is uncertain about the frequency of their analysis.

“If there is a noticeable increase or a specific happening that clearly demonstrates our progress, we will consider announcing it through a press release or a news article.” “However, we have a positive outlook on the possibility of experiencing a rise in audience numbers during the 2024 season.”
