LIV Golf Las Vegas prize money, payout information: The breakaway tour heads to Sin City for their second event of the 2024 campaign.
The second event of the 2024 LIV Golf season will take place in Las Vegas, coinciding with Super Bowl LVIII.
Chilean golfer Joaquin Niemann emerged victorious at the opening tournament of the breakaway tour’s third season, which took place at Mayakoba. Niemann achieved victory over Sergio Garcia in a thrilling four-hole playoff that took place under low light conditions.
Jon Rahm participated in his inaugural LIV event subsequent to his high-value transfer to the tour sponsored by Saudi Arabia. Rahm had a chance to secure the victory individually, but his chances diminished when he made two careless bogeys near the end of the game. However, Rahm’s squad, Legion XIII, emerged victorious in the team category, securing a four-stroke lead against Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers.
LIV Golf Las Vegas continues to offer a substantial prize purse of $25m, as always. The payout format has slightly altered as there is now a total of 54 participants in LIV tournaments.
The champion will still receive the highest reward of $4m, however, golfers who come in 52nd to 54th place will each receive $50,000.
Across the first two seasons, golfers could expect to walk away with a minimum of $120,000.
On the team front, the winning quarter will split $3,000,000.
