TOMMY FLEETWOOD MAKES HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT BY CONFIRMING NEW TEAM MOVE.
Tommy Fleetwood becomes the newest member of Los Angeles Golf Club on Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s tech-infused golf league, TGL.
It has been confirmed on social media that Tommy Fleetwood is now a member of Los Angeles Golf Club on TGL.
The TGL, which was initially planned to begin this month, has been compelled to postpone its inauguration to 2025.
This league, infused with technology and established by golfing icons Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy from the PGA Tour, had encountered this setback. The reason for this was the recent collapse of the stadium roof at the SoFi Center in Florida.
But despite the TGL’s huge setback, the teams are starting to all come together.
Six teams from six different cities will go head-to-head in a season-long competition at SoFi Center, a first-of-its-kind venue built specifically for golf on the campus of Palm Beach State College.
Woods will be on Jupiter Links, while McIlroy will be on Boston Common.
McIlroy has something of a headache on his hands as Tyrrell Hatton has been forced out of Boston Common due to joining LIV Golf.

One of the teams that has now got its business done is Los Angeles GC following the signature of seven-time DP World Tour winner Fleetwood.
The team also comprises fellow PGA Tour stars Justin Rose, Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala.
Fleetwood told TGL:
“I am thrilled to join Los Angeles Golf Club and be part of a community that shares my passion for the game. The club’s commitment to fostering talent and promoting the sport aligns with my own values, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.”
The Englishman has enjoyed a solid start to the 2024 season with a victory at the Dubai Invitational in January on the DP World Tour.
He then finished T14 at the Dubai Desert Classic before heading Stateside to finish T31 in last week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, which was shortened to 54 holes due to bad weather.
The TGL season was set to kick off on 9 January 2024. But all that has changed as a result of the TGL’s stadium roof collapsing on 14 November 2023.
It is understood the TGL will definitely start in early 2025.
The 2025 season’s beginning will feature 15 regular season matches, followed by a semi-final and a final. Currently, the number of officially registered participants for the TGL stands at 22.
The team of famous players possesses a total of 223 victories on the PGA Tour, 32 victories in major tournaments, and a collective presence at the number one spot for a remarkable 886 weeks.
Jon Rahm had originally been included in the team but withdrew a few weeks prior, confirming his intention to join the LIV Golf League.
