PGA Tour pro Ben An has taken to social media to give his verdict on the WM Phoenix Open.
There have been several occasions in the past when professional golfer Ben An has participated in the WM Phoenix Open, but never before has he witnessed the TPC Scottsdale event in such an uncontrollable state as he did this weekend.
32-year-old An expressed his opinion regarding the current condition of the WM Phoenix Open after the third round was halted on Saturday evening.
Several videos went viral on Saturday at TPC Scottsdale, showing multiple fans sliding down muddy hills and one fan jumping into a bunker near the green. Another woman was also injured on the renowned 16th hole, known as the stadium hole, at the golf course.
The PGA Tour stopped alcohol sales promptly due to the ongoing events witnessed on Saturday afternoon.
An, who is currently in the last position on the leaderboard among those who made it into the next round (at the time this was published), stated that several golf enthusiasts present at the location had crossed the line of acceptable behavior on Saturday.
In response to a tweet asking about An’s experience at the WM Phoenix Open this week, they expressed that the tournament was chaotic and unruly on every hole.
In his subsequent response, he further stated: “I am aware of the terms and conditions I agreed to.

I have played at this place numerous times in the past without any issue, but today’s experience was different. It simply boils down to my own personal encounter.”
