During the second round of his own PGA Tour event, Tiger Woods had no choice but to pull out of the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club. Tiger Woods was captured in visible distress while being transported on a golf cart following his withdrawal from the Genesis Invitational.
Woods, who is 48 years old, decided to end his participation in the PGA Tour event he hosts every year after completing only six holes in the second round.
On the seventh fairway at Riviera Country Club, the golfer who is a member of the hall of fame was given a ride by a golf cart.
It was uncertain right away if Woods was experiencing discomfort in his back or legs, or if he was dealing with the symptoms of an illness. Sky Sports stated that Woods experienced discomfort during the night, although there was no supporting evidence for this claim.
“A little while after he left, a photograph of an ambulance at the racecourse was taken.”
Woods was at 2-over par for the championship when he withdrew and struggling to make the cut in the 80-man field.

The 15-time major champion was 1-over par for the day playing alongside his good friend Justin Thomas and Gary Woodland.
The PGA Tour has been instructed to impose a substantial penalty on Patrick Cantlay for violating an unspoken rule. Following his first round of 1-over 72, Woods clarified that he experienced difficulties with back spasms towards the conclusion of Thursday’s play. He claimed that a sudden muscle contraction led to him making an errant shot at the last hole. “He mentioned that his back started spasming during the last few holes, causing it to become stiff. However, he acknowledged that experiencing such discomfort is common in his line of work and he welcomes the opportunity to overcome it.” Woods matched Sam Snead’s record of 82 titles and secured his most recent victory on the PGA Tour at the 2019 Zozo Championship in Japan.
Since the car accident in 2021, his activities have been restricted due to the injury on his right leg.
Last April, Woods underwent surgery again, just after limping out of the 47th Masters tournament at Augusta National. “The pain he experienced in his right ankle has been relieved and his ability to walk has significantly improved as a result of the fusion surgery.”
