PGA TOUR FANS ALL SAY SAME THING AFTER PADRAIG HARRINGTON’S OUTRAGEOUS COMMENTS

PGA Tour Champions star Padraig Harrington believes he can get “every golfer in the world” down to a single-figure handicap!

“Golf enthusiasts have been responding to Padraig Harrington’s bold assertion that he can help “every golfer in the world” achieve a handicap of single figures.”

Based on the most recent data, it has been found that just 1% of all golfers globally have a certified handicap of 10 or lower.

However, three-time major champion Harrington, who is 52 years old, firmly believes that he can help the remaining 99% of golfers worldwide improve their skills to achieve single-digit handicaps.

All that is required is to watch his well-known ‘Paddy’s Golf Tips’ episodes on YouTube.

Harrington’s dedicated YouTube golf tuition channel has 128,000 subscribers to date.

The Irishman has uploaded 67 videos to his YouTube page thus far and he regularly updates the channel with new content to “help the weekend warrior.”

Harrington believes to get down to a 9-handicap or less is “not that hard”.

The 15-time European Tour winner made his shock comments to the PGA Tour Champions during last week’s Cologuard Classic where he finished T14 on 8-under par and five strokes behind winner Joe Durant.

Harrington said:

It’s hard to be a plus-figure, scratch golfer, but to get to 9 [handicap], it’s not that hard. When I say it’s not that hard, there are some simple things you can do to get there and that’s what my videos are mainly focused on. I’m really trying to help the weekend warrior get to a level where if you are a single-figure golfer you can walk into any clubhouse with your chest expanded, it’s a level of achievement. That’s what I’m focused on.”
“I started doing it in Covid because I like doing it. It was something to do, I tried to post a video every day, kept it to a minute then we expanded it to now doing it on YouTube on Paddy’s Golf Tips. It’s enjoyable and a great way to get access to the public directly. When it comes to golf, especially athletes who come to golf, they seem to have crazy ideas about keeping your head still, keeping your head down, or swinging slowly, but you know 99% of golfers would be better off doing the exact opposite of what they think and it would be better. Just swing away is the best advice you can give, and get used to it. To try get too good too early, we could talk about this all day…”

He added:

“I get some great feedback, more one on one in person, but it is social media so you try not to read comments. I know my comments would be pretty positive, but still, I think for the guys who get involved in social media that can be the downside when you get too involved in the feedback of the comments, so I have someone else who goes through that and we collate it. I love it when people come up to me and say the tips are helping, it’s happening more and more. One golfer just now came up and told me the tips are helping him

Harrington likely won’t want to read some of the comments to the PGA Tour Champions post as the majority of golf fans think the Irishman is talking nonsense!

Here’s a look at some comments:

“This is without doubt the most unreasonable thing I have ever heard in my life!”
“Obviously doesn’t teach the general public. BS.”
“Paddy obviously doesn’t understand how many poor hand / eye coordinated people exist. He could set that handicap goal at 20 if he wanted to remain delusional. I like Paddy but come on…”
“Me thinks Padraig is having a turbulent day coming out with a line like that!”
“I think this is a crazy statement but love where your head is at!”
“Absolutely, positively, unequivocally delusional.”
“We are going to need a proper definition of golfer…”
“Insanity.”
“Dream on!”
What do you make of Harrington’s comments about getting players from all around the world down to single figures?
