Lewis Hamilton branded ‘the best to ever hold a gun’ by Hollywood’s go-to firearms expert.
Lewis Hamilton has been hailed for his talent on the shooting range by a Hollywood firearms expert.
Firearms expert Taran Butler has claimed that Lewis Hamilton is the best shooter to have ‘ever walked the earth’ after being left stunned by the Mercedes driver’s accuracy during a visit to his ranch. Hamilton is known for being a man of many talents, with the 39-year-old having ventured into music and fashion design away from the F1 paddock.
Hamilton is known for his passion for surfing and often posts videos of himself surfing on social media. During his winter break, he enjoyed skydiving in Dubai.
He has demonstrated his skills at the shooting range, impressing Butler, a former world champion in pistols and shotguns who trains Hollywood actors in firearms.
During an interview on The Rock Sugar Magic Podcast, Butler discussed how Hamilton’s exceptional shooting skills surprised him during a ranch visit four years ago, despite Hamilton’s lack of experience.
“He’s literally at an A-class level on his first time ever,” said Butler. “He never shot before. I texted him later. I called him later, I said: ‘Are you lying?’. He’s like: ‘One time I shot a rifle, like, one shot in the snow somewhere’. I’m like: ‘Well, that doesn’t count’.
“He’s just unreal. If I had him more often, he would be unbelievable. He is the best that’s ever held a gun, not just at my place, I would say that’s ever walked the earth.”
The brief video showed Hamilton shooting at various targets with an assault rifle and a pistol during a training exercise.
He posted the clip on his Instagram account soon after visiting Butler’s ranch in 2020, expressing his aspiration to appear in a Hollywood film one day.
He expressed his enthusiasm for sharing a project he has begun working on. He has always had a passion for action films and has aspired to be a part of one.
He is currently training at the same place where Keanu Reeves trains for his John Wick movies in preparation for his first role in a film. “This is just the first day, it was a highly enjoyable few hours in a secure, professional setting.
Keanu, please contact me, I am prepared! Many thanks to @tarantactical and your fantastic team for their time and patience with me. It was the greatest day.”
Hamilton has entered the film industry by starting his own film and TV production company named Dawn Apollo Films in the previous year.
Currently, he is serving as a producer on an upcoming F1 movie that features Brad Pitt, and filming has occurred at various Grand Prix events during the last season.
