It was revealed on Tuesday that the golf star from Northern Ireland withdrew his request for separation from Stoll by his own choice.
This decision by McIlroy was accompanied by an explanation of his reasoning and the factors that influenced his choice to stay with his wife, even though their relationship may have seemed strained just a few weeks ago. McIlroy expressed his disappointment regarding the recent rumors circulating about his personal life. He mentioned that engaging in addressing each rumor is not a wise decision.
In the recent weeks, he and Erica have come to the realization that they want to build a future together as a family. Fortunately, they have managed to work through their difficulties and are excited about starting anew.
McIlroy was talking about the rumors circulating about his relationship with CBS Sports presenter Amanda Balionis after filing for divorce from Stoll.
Social media users started speculating about a possible relationship between McIlroy and Balionis, especially since McIlroy was recently single and Balionis had started using her maiden name again. Balionis used to go by the last name of her husband, former NFL quarterback Bryn Renner, on her social media profiles, but recently she removed all mentions of him and was seen not wearing her wedding ring. This led to speculations that she and McIlroy might be romantically involved.
At one time, Judi James, an expert in body language, mentioned that Balionis had the ability to make McIlroy very comfortable and at ease whenever they appeared together on screen.

If the divorce had been completed, the court documents detailing the divorce indicate that both parents would share custody of their daughter Poppy. According to the documents, both parents are financially capable of providing for the child in question.
