‘Bryson Is One Of The Best Things To Ever Happen To Golf’ – Brandel Chamblee Singles Out DeChambeau For Overwhelming Praise After US Open Win.

The Golf Channel analyst, who has been one of LIV Golf’s harshest critics, was recently criticized for not acknowledging DeChambeau’s achievements enough after his second US Open win.”

Brandel Chamblee recently gave Bryson DeChambeau significant praise for his US Open win at Pinehurst No.2 over the weekend, which was unexpected.

DeChambeau successfully defeated Rory McIlroy to win his second Major championship at a challenging golf course in North Carolina, with his victory confirmed by a remarkable bunker shot on the 18th hole. However, as he spoke, certain viewers in the United States became irritated by what they perceived as Chamblee’s partial commentary against the winner on Golf Channel.

A number of spectators pointed out his excessive use of the term ‘fortune’ during Sunday’s events and criticized the commentator for his lack of professionalism.

Golf personality Paige Spiranac implied that Chamblee harbors dislike towards DeChambeau. She indicated that Chamblee’s statement about luck being the reason for DeChambeau’s US Open win shows evident animosity towards him.

Chamblee has been one of the most outspoken opponents of LIV Golf and its members since the league was established two years ago.

As a Golf Channel analyst, he has criticized the competition’s format as being “ridiculous.” Additionally, he described the merger announcement in June 2023 as a “very disappointing day in the world of professional golf.”

Yet, Chamblee went on to congratulate the LIV player when DeChambeau joined the Golf Channel broadcast booth on Sunday night. He then posted a message of overwhelming support on social media to the way DeChambeau has conducted himself with the fans of late.

Asked by one fan to “say something nice about Bryson”, Chamblee responded: “Maybe listen a little bit closer. Bryson is one of the best things to ever happen to golf.

“He’s a reminder that professional golf isn’t just about putting a number on the board but giving back to those that pay for their purses and privilege by fulfilling every media obligation, going beyond and further, and giving the fans who stand in line and pay extravagant prices to watch them, more than they could’ve imagined. This is food for thought to every PGA tour, LPGA tour and DP world tour player.”

DeChambeau believes his dramatic upturn in popularity among golf fans – and now potentially with Chamblee – in recent months is partially down to the Crushers GC captain’s increased social media presence, specifically on YouTube

Born in Modesto, California, the golfer continues to express his thoughts on topics that are significant to him.

He mentioned that his YouTube channel, which has more than 742,000 subscribers and 82.5 million views, is providing viewers with an authentic look at who he really is. The audience seems to be connecting well with the persona of DeChambeau. He explained that he made a lot of effort for individuals to better understand him.

According to him, YouTube has been a valuable tool in achieving that goal. The Break 50 series is very enjoyable for me and I find it fun. I enjoy the challenge it presents as it has never been completed without a stroke.

It helps keep my mind active and entertained, reminding me of the true essence of the game beyond just winning prizes. I participate in it for the entertainment value as well as for personal satisfaction. “Of course, we all desire to win awards. However, our main objective is to entertain the fans, which I believe is the most crucial aspect of our profession.”

The individual who has won 13 professional tournaments is scheduled to participate in the LIV Golf Nashville event this weekend before competing in The Open Championship, the last men’s Major of the season, in the following month.
