Phil Mickelson’s pre-Nashville activity says everything about LIV Golf star

Phil Mickelson returns to action this week after his disappointment at the U.S. Open, teeing it up on the LIV Golf circuit in Nashville, as he hunts for his first breakaway league win.

Phil Mickelson was spotted relaxing before the upcoming LIV Golf event in Nashville by taking part in some dancing in Tennessee, immersing himself in the local culture.

After feeling let down by his performance at the U.S. Open and failing to make the cut, Mickelson is now back on the golf course.

Despite his disappointment, the HyFlyers captain appears to be relaxed and unconcerned this week. He is embracing his well-known and beloved reputation in the sport by showing off his dancing skills.

A video of the six-time major champion alongside his HyFlyers teammates Cameron Tringale and Andy Ogletree uploaded on social media showed off their moves by dancing to some traditional Nashville country music.

Mickelson shared the clip with his 853,000 followers on X and tweeted, “I’m enjoying the Nashville vibe.” Recently, fans have had mixed opinions about the former PGA Tour star due to his choice to join the Saudi-backed circuit in the summer of 2022.

His supporters were happy to see the captain of the HyFlyers enjoying himself before the upcoming tournament at The Grove. One fan commented “Love this! Hope you never retire lol,” and another fan said “This is amazing.”

Mickelson’s popularity continued to grow, with one fan expressing admiration for him as their favorite golfer and another fan encouraging him to enjoy life to the fullest.

Another fan expressed excitement about seeing Mickelson play on Sunday.

As the week began, most of the talk focused on Bryson DeChambeau, another well-known golfer signed with LIV agency. DeChambeau, the captain of the Crushers team, won his second major championship last Sunday at the U.S. Open by defeating Rory McIlroy in a thrilling final round in North Carolina. Afterward, DeChambeau made sure to celebrate with his fans, as he has gained a significant following at Pinehurst No. 2. Following his victory, the golfer was spotted showing off the trophy to the spectators near the 18th green, and he did the same on The Tonight Show the next day.

As expected, DeChambeau brought his U.S. Open trophy to The Grove this week and, like Mickelson, immersed himself in the Nashville culture while parading through the city with the famous trophy on Wednesday.

DeChambeau will start his tournament on Friday from the first hole, with Mickelson beginning three holes ahead at the fourth as part of the shotgun start.
