Mercedes marks milestone with unique Singapore Grand Prix livery.
Mercedes will wear a one-off unique livery in this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix.Mercedes has unveiled a unique one-off livery for this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix in honour of title sponsor and technical partner Petronas. The one-off livery for all of the action at the Marina Bay Circuit was created expressly to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its title and technical partner.
“Our partnership with Petronas is our longest standing and still going strong, and for any company to reach its 50th anniversary is an incredible milestone,” says Wolff.””This livery is therefore not only a celebration of their 50th anniversary, but a reflection of Petronas’ importance in our team’s story and honours our journey together.”Mercedes selected to run the unique livery this weekend in Singapore since it is near to Petronas’ base in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The one-of-a-kind design isn’t the only way Mercedes is commemorating Petronas; Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, and Wolff will visit the Malaysian capital next week. Both drivers approve of the Singapore GP livery, which has Pertronas’ trademark emerald green replacing the bulk of the silver on the W15’s sidepods and front wing. “The livery looks amazing. “I can’t wait to see it on the car in the garage and then get behind the wheel on Friday,” Hamilton stated.
“It’s a privilege to celebrate this milestone, and our journey together, at such an important race.”Russell went on to say, “The design looks great and is a beautiful homage to such a significant achievement.”It is great to be able to recognise the importance of our relationship at the race closest to their home.”
