Mercedes’ Special Edition AMG GT Could Teach Mansory Something Or TwoMercedes

AMG has introduced an extremely limited special edition based on the AMG GT 63 Pro 4Matic+, the most track-focused variation of the AMG GT 63 Coupe currently available. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ “Motorsport Collectors Edition” is restricted to only 200 copies worldwide and draws inspiration from the automaker’s collaboration with lubricant expert Petronas.

It arrives just in time for the Singapore Formula One Grand Prix (Petronas is located in adjacent Malaysia), where the Mercedes F1 team will wear a special livery in celebration of Petronas’ 50th anniversary.Mechanically unaltered, AMG’s 911 GT3 adversary is powered by a 603-horsepower version of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, with up to 627 lb-ft of torque available.

A series of other technical modifications to the aero and cooling systems allow the AMG GT 63 Pro to attain a peak speed of 197 mph while also reaching 124 mph from a stop in 10.9 seconds. These values are unaltered for the special edition.Unlike the one-off F1 livery, the special-edition road vehicle has significantly less of the turquoise tint, but enough to raise the possibility that aftermarket tuner Mansory was engaged in the design select.

The hue is used as an accent on the front splitter, front air intakes, side sills, rear diffuser, and hood before loping under and around the glasshouse. Pinstriping in the shade surrounds the outside edge of the 21-inch matte black rims, and the six-piston front and single-piston rear brake calipers are likewise finished in the vibrant hue.
