$300M LIV Golf star reveals ‘most prized piece of memorabilia’ only used on ‘tournament days’

LIV Golf star Phil Mickelson was recently featured on Bryson DeChambeau’s show Break 50. During the episode, he revealed that his most prized memorabilia was a Morgan Head silver dollar that he only uses during tournaments.

Lanny Wadkins is the second golfer and Phil Mickelson is one of the greatest golfers of all time with 45 PGA Tour wins including six Major championships. He plays on the LIV Golf and is the captain of the HyFlyers GC team in the circuit. An estimate given to us by Celebrity’s Net Worth put his worth at $300 million.

Hearing about this, during the Break 50 show, Bryson DeChambeau turned to the experienced golfer and asked what his most valuable trophies are.

Its a Morgan Head silver dollar and it was passed down from my grandfather. Mickelson replied. What you have there was made in 1900 and the man who grew up with it was not well off in the very least, not at all. And he got pulled out of school in grade school by his dad to work and help the family and he always felt poor.

“But he had this silver dollar he would carry in his pocket at all times, in fact he was one of the initial caddies at Pebble Beach. He would go two days of not eating. He wouldn’t spend it because every time he reached in his pocket and felt that silver dollar, he didn’t feel poor.”
The 54-year-old golfer revealed that he had it in his bag and only used it during the tournament, not during practice.

“I use it in tournament days,” he continued. “And I think of him every time I pull it out, like every time I have that in my hand I think of him. He was a very special person to me.”
