Jon Rahm’s former LIV Golf teammate Kieran Vincent set for DP World Tour debut

Relegated LIV golfer Kieran Vincent is set to make his DP World Tour debut at the 2024 Mauritius Open. The Zimbabwean golfer played on the LIV Golf in 2024 after securing his spot through the 2023 LIV Golf Promotions. He played for Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII.

Despite the foich in averate individual stats in the 2024 season in the Suadi League, Vincent performed poorly in individual games, and he was dropped to the lower Suadi League. In the end of the third season of LIV Golf, he was 54th in the season-long point list.

Kieran Vincent took part in the 2024 LIV Golf Promotions, with an aim of getting a ticket to the 2025 LIV Golf season, but he finished a disappointing 17th place, which means he will not be back in the LIV Golf next year.

However, Vincent will be back to professional tournaments next on DP World Tour. The 20-year old is all set to tee it up in Europe for the first time in this week’s Mauritius Open to be held from December 19 to 22 at Mont Choisy Le Golf.

On Monday, December 16 there was a message in the X account of Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII regard the exit of Vincent from the LIV Golf.

“Kieran will be leaving #LegionXIII after relegation from @livgolf_league in the 2024 season. Kieran’s hard work, talent and one-of-a-kind personality will be missed. It’s been an unforgettable year together! Thank you, Kieran.”

Following the third season of the LIV Golf League, only the top 24 in the season standings secured their spots for the 2025 season. Those ranked from 25 to 48 fall into the “Open Zone,” meaning they are free agents who can either be re-signed by their teams or join other teams. Players finishing below 49 fell into the “Drop Zone” and were relegated from the league.

How has Kieran Vincent performed on LIV Golf?

Vincent made his debut on LIV Golf in 2024, where he played in 14 tournaments. He began his campaign at the season-opening event held in Mayakoba in February, where he had a decent outing and secured a T38 finish. However, he struggled in the second tournament in Las Vegas, settling for T45. His best result of the season came at the Nashville event, where he finished T18.

Kieran Vincent is a professional golfer who started his professional golfing career in 2022, and has to his name two titles. He triumphed in the 2023 International Series Vietnam held at the Asian Tour where he triumphed over Anirban Lahiri and Kevin Yuan and also successfully aced the 2024 KitKat Cash and Carry Pro-Am a Sunshine Tour event in which he successfully overshadowed Malcolm Mitchell in a four-stroke victory.
