A few fans thought he might’ve used an anchored putt—a technique banned by the USGA and R&A in 2013—because his hand looked like it was resting on his chest as he made the putt.
And it didn’t stop there. ESPN’s Paolo Uggetti chimed in too, saying Langer teed his ball up in a bunker to get a better shot, even though they were playing scramble rules.
