Scottie Scheffler Blames LIV for Pro Golf’s Divide: ‘Go Ask Those Guys!’

Scottie Scheffler does not want to hear any more about the divide in pro golf, nor does he want to hear about how the PGA TOUR is contributing to it.

Instead, the World #1 is pointing the blame in the direction of LIV Golf, according to a recent statement he made during a pre-Masters media conference call. Scheffler is well aware that the divide in pro golf has been something weighing on the minds of fans and fellow players, but he’s unwilling to take any of the slack.

From his interview Scheffler directed his audience to speak with those involved in running golf for explanations regarding game unavailability.

We cannot pin down responsibility for the split because the particulars regarding recent negotiation efforts between the PGA TOUR and defectors remain undisclosed.

Scheffler’s full tirade went as follows:

“They did what they wanted to do, and I can’t control their life. I’m not going to sit here and say they should have done something differently. They made their choice. If we want to figure out why the game of golf is not back together, go ask those guys. Go to wherever they are playing this week and figure out when the game is going to come back together.”

His resentment in this situation stands logical since his patience has reached its limit. The scenario lacks clear timing regarding the return of the game. Numerous reports throughout the past months suggested the game was about to reassemble while keeping us in perpetual anticipation of an official reunion.

There appears to be no hopeful sign that PGA TOUR and LIV Golf can recreate their past conciliation.

The upcoming Masters experience will become notable for the first conjoined appearance of the tours on the same grounds since The Open Championship from last year.
