Lewis Hamilton’s ‘romance with Sofia Vergara is OVER’ – with the Modern Family star, 52, feeling ‘abandoned’ after being given the cold shoulder by the F1 legend
Lewis Hamilton’s romance with Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has fizzled out already, according to reports.
Hamilton, 40, and Vergara, 52, were spotted out for lunch together in New York in January, sparking rumours that they were dating.
However, as reported by American platform RadarOnline, the pair have now gone their separate ways.
The report states that Vergara was keen to move forward with Hamilton, with an insider claiming she viewed him as ‘the perfect boyfriend and a great catch’.
But the Formula One legend’s interest has waned, leaving Vergara feeling ‘abandoned’.
Hamilton and Vergara are still in ‘occasional’ contact, but it is understood that the ‘communication is rather one-sided’.
The insider added: ‘She’s the one who stays in touch, hoping for more—and gets little in return.’
In January the pair were seen seated next to each other at a table as they dined in New York together.
Observers claimed that Sofia hardly ate any of the food in front of him as she was so engrossed in the conversation, according to TMZ.
Outside the restaurant, she and Lewis could be spotted grinning broadly and chatting with one another before she slipped into an SUV and left.
Both of the celebrities appeared to be in bright spirits as they spoke to one another on the sidewalk after the lunch, which is said to have lasted two hours.
The dating relationship between Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger of Pussycat Dolls ended permanently in 2016.
Through the years he has been connected to multiple renowned figures including Gigi Hadid and musically-oriented artists Rihanna and Shakira.
He has decided to live as a single person and put all his effort into achieving success with Ferrari.
During the opening race in Australia Hamilton finished tenth while he gained his first victory of the season when he won the sprint race in China last week.
The excess half-millimetre plank wear led to his Sunday Grand Prix finish spot being disqualified despite him achieving sixth place.
In the Formula 1 standings Hamilton maintains a position of ninth since he trails Lando Norris by 35 points.
