Report: Bryson DeChambeau has made decision on LIV Golf future with contract set to expire.

Bryson DeChambeau is ready to negotiate his next deal to stay with LIV Golf as he prepares to defend his U.S. Open title.

DeChambeau reportedly received a $125 million contract to join LIV Golf in June 2022. He signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the league, which means he is tied to playing exclusively on the LIV Golf series through the 2026 season.

The 31-year-old, who regularly tinkers with his bag, has emerged as arguably the circuit’s leading star since signing on with LIV Golf. Amid rumors linking him with a switch back to the PGA Tour as contracts expire, the reigning U.S. Open champion – a popular star on YouTube – suggested he won’t be going anywhere.

Next year is when it ends,” DeChambeau told reporters at Oakmont. “We’re looking to negotiate end of this year and I’m very excited.

They see the value in me, I see the value in what they can provide and I believe we’ll come to some sort of resolution on that.

I’m super excited for the future. LIV’s not going anywhere. H.E. (LIV chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan) has been steadfast in his belief on team golf and wherever everybody believes it or not, I believe it’s a viable option

Our team has been EBIDTA positive for the past two years, so we’re starting to grow and move in the right direction, just like TGL. TGL has done a great job. They’ve got some teams that are making some money, and I believe there is a sustainable model out there. How it all works with the game of golf, who knows, but I know my worth.

“I know what LIV brings to the table. And I’m excited for the future of what golf is going to be.

LIV Golf made headlines in 2022 by signing top players like Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, and Bryson DeChambeau with contracts exceeding $100 million. However, these deals are nearing their end, and according to Golfweek, similar massive offers won’t be repeated. This raises questions about how much money truly influenced players’ decisions to leave the PGA Tour for LIV Golf.

Bryson DeChambeau’s performance this LIV season has been mixed. He started strong with a T6 in Riyadh, then slipped to T18 in Adelaide and T20 in Hong Kong. A tied-10th finish in Singapore showed signs of improvement, followed by a fifth-place result in Miami before The Masters. At Augusta, he was in contention alongside Rory McIlroy going into the final day but faded, while McIlroy clinched his first green jacket in a playoff.

DeChambeau rebounded by tying for second in Mexico City, where Joaquín Niemann secured his third LIV win. He later won in Korea and placed tied-fourth in Virginia, also finishing five strokes behind Scottie Scheffler at the PGA Championship.
