Lando Norris dropped an F-bomb during his post-race interview with Sky Sports.
Sky Sports were forced to apologise after Lando Norris swore during his post-race interview following his first-ever British Grand Prix win.
Norris won Sunday’s British Grand Prix for the very first time in his Formula 1 career.
His teammate Oscar Piastri was in control of the race but his misjudgement at the safety car cost him victory as he finished second at Silverstone, anger Max Verstappen in the process.
Nico Hulkenberg finally made it onto the podium for the first time in his Formula 1 career, achieving the milestone after 239 race starts.
Following the end of the British Grand Prix, race winner Lando Norris, along with Oscar Piastri and Hulkenberg, spoke with Jenson Button on Sky Sports.
Hulkenberg was clearly overjoyed with his long-awaited podium finish, while Piastri expressed frustration over the 10-second penalty that impacted his result.
Norris, meanwhile, couldn’t hide his raw emotion — even letting slip an F-bomb during his interview as he reflected on what the win meant to him.
“It’s beautiful. This is everything I’ve ever dreamed of, everything I’ve worked for. Short of a world title, it doesn’t get better than this. The race was incredible — stressful as always,” he said.
“Honestly, your mind just goes blank. All the thoughts you had before the race disappear. All I could think was: just don’t mess it up. In the final laps, I was looking into the crowd, thinking, ‘This might never happen again.’ It’s an amazing feeling.”
Button quickly apologized for Norris’ language, and Norris himself followed up with an apology too.
He went on to praise teammate Piastri:
“Oscar put up a great fight out there. I love moments like that on track — that’s what we race for. 52 laps feels long, and you never know how it’s going to play out. Huge thanks to the fans. Today was really special.”
Norris was audibly emotional over team radio as he crossed the finish line, shouting:
“Wooh, wooh! We did it! At home! Oh my God, we did it. It’s beautiful. This is a dream come true. Winning here — I’ll remember this forever.”
