Oh right, this is no surprise but act like we never saw it coming. And that a popular Halloween costume this year—at least, among golf sickos—was going to be Scottie Scheffler being arrested at the PGA Championship. We got a taste of it a few weeks ago when one dad happily reported, “This year, I got to pick the Halloween costumes.” And he nailed it.
Although I still can hardly think about getting to choose the Halloween costumes for my daughters. And if I had that type of power, I would have made them Bluey and Bingo this year because they also happen to be perfect ages. But they went as a princess and a lady bug – no coordination there! Sigh. What a missed opportunity. But I digress! Back to Scottie . . .
We have been trailing a number of people masquerading as Scheffler (and Officer Gillis) in the various social platforms. It’s a copycat league, remember? However, very special mention must be given to PGA Tour caddie Aaron Flener, and his girl friend, Brooke, for this initiative.
