In the storied history of golf, few players have left an impact as seismic as Tiger Woods. Known for his unmatched skill and unrelenting drive, Woods didnât just elevate the game-he transformed it. On the Par 3 Podcast, six-time PGA Tour winner Hunter Mahan shed light on the psychological hold Woods had over his competitors, describing it as an âintensity that was very unknown to everybody.â
It was quite amusing how Mahan had recalled that even after Woods set foot on the course, the ambiance he gave off made even the most professional golf players uncomfortable. âHe utilised that in a very very big way because most people were very aware of this discomfort and there was just nothing they could do about it,â Mahan said. To everyone positioned alongside Woods on the tee it was not about competing against the man but competing with destiny.
