F1 fans think ‘it’s all over’ after hearing Lewis Hamilton’s radio message during Austrian Grand Prix practice.
Ferrari star Lewis Hamilton’s team radio message has gone viral.
Formula 1 fans have been reacting on social media after seeing what Lewis Hamilton said on his Ferrari team radio.
On Friday afternoon, Hamilton was back behind the wheel of the Ferrari SF-25 as the Brit looked to have a better weekend than he did in Canada earlier in the month.
Heading into the latest Grand Prix weekend, it was revealed that Ferrari had brought an upgrade for the floor of Hamilton’s car.
During FP1, the 40-year-old was seen driving the first few laps with an aero rake as the team looked to collect data to determine the effectiveness of the upgrade.
But he also suffered a gearbox-related issue and had to pit during the one-hour session.
Hamilton ended up finishing in ninth place, more than half a second slower than Mercedes star George Russell.
The seven-time world champion’s fortunes did not change in the second practice as he was struggling for pace.
On his team radio, Hamilton said: “For some reason I’ve just got no pace, mate.”
Reacting on social media, one fan said: “It’s never been more over.”

A third fan added: “There is no pace in that car that’s why.”
Someone else wrote: “It’s because you’re in a Ferrari.”
A fifth commented: “Now we get to hear it in Free practice.”
Ultimately, Hamilton ended FP2 in 10th position, trailing Lando Norris—who topped the session—by nearly a second. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, secured fifth place.
Ahead of the weekend, Hamilton commented: “Of course it would be ideal to be winning races right from the start, and I’m sure everyone in the garage feels the same. But personally, I’m thankful for the journey we’re on.
“We’re in the midst of rebuilding, and there are many changes we need to implement that we’re steadily working on.”
