Max Verstappen’s furious x-rated radio message emerges as Oscar Piastri handed penalty for British Grand Prix incident.

Max Verstappen wasn’t happy with Oscar Piastri.

Max Verstappen’s radio message has emerged following his explosive incident with Oscar Piastri at the British Grand Prix.

After a restart in the 21st lap, Piastri and Verstappen were involved in a pivotal moment of Sunday’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Piastri slowed down after the safety car peeled away.

Verstappen then went ahead before the McLaren driver decided to make a move.

The Red Bull driver lost control of his car, spinning at the restart – with Piastri being hit with a penalty.

He was handed a 10-second time penalty for his safety car infringement.

Shortly after the incident, Verstappen’s radio message emerged and he wasn’t happy.

He said: “Woah, mate ****, he suddenly just slows down!”

McLaren’s radio messages to their drivers Lando Norris and Piastri also emerged in the wake of the safety car incident.

Oscar has a 10 second penalty, that means we will not follow him into the pitstop.”

McLaren then relayed a message to Piastri: “Oscar, the safety car restart – we’ve been given a 10-second penalty for the braking on the straight before the restart.

“You have a 17-second gap to Stroll. We want to try and pull as much of a gap as we can.”

Damon Hill expressed surprise at Oscar Piastri’s actions, suggesting they gave Lando Norris a major advantage.

“It was a real shock — you have to ask what Piastri was thinking before the restart,” Hill said. “He backed off, which allowed Max to close in a bit. That ended up playing right into Lando Norris’s hands, as he no longer had to fight his way past Max.”

At the time, Piastri was in the lead.
But it was his teammate, Lando Norris, who ultimately shone — finishing strong and celebrating his first-ever win at Silverstone.

The home crowd erupted as he crossed the line to claim victory.
