Anthony Kim delivered one of the most emotional press conferences of the year after a bogey-free 10-under 62 at LIV Golf Virginia to finish T6 and climb inside the top 200 in the OWGR for the first time since 2012.
“I don’t give a s**t what anybody thinks about me. I work hard. I stay with my family… I’m going to continue to keep working hard and keep getting better and see whatever happens.”
When asked if 2026 AK could beat 2010 AK:
“2010 me might not have shown up. So I like this one better.”
Kim also opened up on the support he’s received from fans:
“The amount of support I’m getting from people, not only from golfers, but people outside of golf fighting their own issues… has been nothing short of amazing.”
AK then helped 4 Aces GC secure the team title after Dustin Johnson chose him for the playoff, where he hit a clutch recovery shot from the wet rough before draining the winning putt.
Whatever happens with LIV Golf’s future, Anthony Kim’s comeback story has become one of the most inspiring stories in golf.
