Since early September, there have been rumors that Kelce and Swift started dating. Since then, rumors have flooded the headlines surrounding the apparent romance between the two men.

Neither Kelce nor Swift have confirmed or denied relationship rumors, although the Chiefs frontman has spoken out about the singer on his “New Heights” podcast in recent days. And Swift attended two back-to-back games against the Chiefs to watch him play.

Now, a new report has emerged that the NFL appears to be trying to cash in on the recent hype surrounding Swift and Kelce. A report from the New York Post claims that the NFL has asked broadcasters to air an ad related to Swift.

It was reported that the NFL sent requests to ESPN, NBC, Fox and CBS to air commercials for Swift’s upcoming concert film “Taylor Swift:
A journey of the ages”. The report said the request was related to free commercial airing this past weekend, the fourth week of the 2023 NFL season. As it turns out, only ESPN and NBC chose to air commercials for Swift’s film. The ESPN ad was supposed to air during the “Sunday NFL Countdown” and “Monday NFL Countdown” shows, while NBC aired the ad during the “Friday Night in America” ​​pregame show.

However, Fox and CBS reportedly chose not to air the commercials this weekend. The NFL and the networks declined to comment to the New York Post, while Swift herself could not be reached.

Swift has attended two Chiefs games since rumors first surfaced that she was dating Kelce. The world-famous pop star was at Arrowhead Stadium on September 24 for a win over the Chicago Bears, before heading to MetLife Stadium a week later to take on the New York Jets.

NBC is airing the Week 4 game between the Chiefs and Jets, with a commercial about Swift’s film airing during coverage. The report goes on to say that the ads were paid for and also states that typical 30-second ads typically cost “around a million dollars.”

Next up for the Chiefs is a road game against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. CBS will air the game, and it remains to be seen whether there will be any commercials for Swift’s movie, which hits theaters on October 13, during the broadcast. Kelce was recently asked about the attention he and Swift received from the NFL during an appearance on the “New Heights” podcast he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. The Philadelphia Eagles center asked his brother’s honest opinion on the recent news surrounding Swift.

“I think everyone is overwhelmed,” Kelce replied before Jason added:
“Forget your feelings for Taylor, what is your honest opinion on how the NFL treats celebrities during games?”

“I think it’s interesting that they show who else is in the game,” Kelce replied. “I think it adds to the atmosphere a little bit… But at the same time, I think they’re overdoing it a bit, especially given my situation. They’re just trying to have fun with it.
