Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet unimpressed with podium boos at United States Grand Prix
Max Verstappen faced boos from some fans after his win at the United States Grand Prix and his girlfriend looked unimpressed.
Despite starting from sixth, he fought for victory, pushing Lewis Hamilton to second, before being eliminated later and Lando Norris to third.
This victory marked his 50th victory in Formula 1, making him the second fastest person to reach this milestone after Michael Schumacher.
Verstappen: The boos don’t bother me
Although some fans were upset, Verstappen’s girlfriend, Kelly Piquet, seemed confused by the crowd’s negative reaction in the posted footage to social networks.
Verstappen, however, now a three-time world champion, seemed unfazed by the negative reception when asked on Viaplay.
“No, no,” he said. “In the end, I was the one who brought home the silver trophy so it all worked out in my favor!”

‘No, no.’
Lewis Hamilton has been disqualified from the US Grand Prix for illegal off-road driving.
Piquet – daughter of F1 legend Nelson Piquet – began a relationship with Russian racing driver Daniil Kvyat in 2017, and they had a daughter together two years later.
However, their relationship ended in December 2019 and since January 2021, she is publicly dating Verstappen.
