Greg Norman beats Tiger woods,jack Nicklaus to title as LIV Golf celebrates multiple awards.

At the 2023 World Golf Awards, LIV Golf had an interesting evening.

At the 2023 World Golf Awards, LIV Golf won three awards: “Best Golf Innovation,” “Best Golf Event,” and “Golf Course Designer of the Year.”The Saudi-funded circuit also saw its CEO, Greg Norman, named “Golf Course Designer of the Year.”

The World Golf Awards, considered as the leading organization for recognizing and rewarding excellence in golf tourism, took place in Abu Dhabi on Monday, October 23.

At its tenth annual gala ceremony in the United Arab Emirates, 384 awards were given out.

LIV Golf wins numerous accolades
In less than twenty-four hours following the end of its second season, which saw Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC crowned as team champions in Miami, LIV Golf won two awards: “Best Golf Event” and “Best Golf Innovation,” thanks to LIV Golf Adelaide.

Over 90,000 spectators attended the three-day Australian event in April 2023, making it the most attended LIV Golf League event since its launch in June 2022.

The relegated Chase Koepka also had a rare week of celebration after making an incredible hole-in-one in absurd circumstances.

Talor Gooch proceeded to win the competition, making it three titles in five events. Later on in the month, the American defeated Cameron Smith to win the LIV Golf Individual Championship.

Norman fended off the likes of Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus to be crowned ‘Golf Course Designer of the Year’.
