How much every LIV Golf player actually earns as Jon Rahm makes lucrative move

Jon Rahm has become the latest big name to ditch the PGA Tour for the Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf league, following in the likes of Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson

In a reported £450 million deal, Jon Rahm, a well-known Spaniard, became the latest high-profile player to leave the PGA Tour and join LIV Golf, which is supported by Saudi Arabia.

In addition, Rahm will get a guaranteed fee of £240 million for a five-year contract with LIV. That is triple what Brooks Koepka received when he left the PGA Tour for LIV in 2021 and double what former World No. 1 Dustin Johnson received.

Rahm will also get a stake in his town team, which could be worth an additional £200m. For reference, the money Rahm will be making with LIV is about twice as much as 15-time major winner Tiger Woods has made from competition wins.

Woods is the top-earning golfer in history, having earned around £96m from 82 PGA Tour victories. In one deal, Rahm will have earned more money than arguably the greatest golfer in history.
