Tiger Woods disclosed that he had suffered from a back spasm, which resulted in him mishitting the last hole during his comeback at the Genesis Invitational in California, marking his first PGA Tour event of 2024. Woods, who is 48 years old, is currently in the process of adjusting to ankle fusion surgery.
This procedure was done in April of the previous year, after he pulled out of the Masters tournament during the third round. Following the surgery, Woods did not participate in any competitions until the Hero World Challenge in December.
After his second shot veered off course and landed in the trees on the right side, the renowned golfer with 15 major championship wins concluded the opening round at the Riviera Country Club with a score of one-over par. Woods ultimately made a two-putt bogey, resulting in a score of five, and later mentioned that he would require some medical attention in order to continue playing on Friday.
