On Thursday’s episode of The Eli Manning Show, Rahm was asked who the worst celebrity golfer he has ever played with was. Instead of turning the tables right back on Eli, the reigning Masters champ delivered a surprising answer: Future first-ballot NFL Hall of Famer J.J. Watt.
This was surprising for multiple reasons. Initially, if you intend to criticize someone for being bad at golf, it shouldn’t be a person who can easily manipulate your body with their strength.
Additionally, Watt is a highly skilled athlete who has been involved in golf for a long time.
Among the celebrities Rahm has played with in his career, Watt was not expected to be the worst, and it seems that Watt himself did not anticipate this outcome.
Rahm attempts to reframe the criticism as a disguised compliment by suggesting that the person is too strong to play golf, but the harm has already been inflicted. It remains to be seen if Rahm and Watt can reconcile their differences. If not, there is one final option to resolve the issue:
