Zach Johnson in foul-mouthed outburst at Masters fans as former Ryder Cup captain loses cool

Zach Johnson swore at Masters spectators on day two at Augusta after they cheered a triple bogey prompting the former Team USA Ryder Cup captain to lose his cool.

During the second round of the Masters, ex-Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson cursed at the crowd when they applauded his triple bogey, causing him to become visibly frustrated.

Johnson had difficulty on the twelfth hole which was a par-three, resulting in a score of six.

Spectators at Augusta National seemed to mockingly applaud from the tee after he successfully made his putt.

Johnson was upset by their actions and was heard uttering a profanity, “f*** off”, in a burst of anger that was captured on the Amen Corner feed of the tournament’s website.

His triple bogey caused his score to go from four-over to seven-over for the tournament, essentially crushing his chances of making the cut.

It has been a tough few months for Johnson, who came in for huge criticism after captaining Team USA to a crushing Ryder Cup defeat against Team Europe last year. His latest outburst is the second time the 48-year-old has remonstrated with fans this season.

During the last day of the WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale, he was captured on video confronting spectators and expressing his frustration by saying “I’ve had enough” and asking them to “be quiet”. The event is famous for its unruly crowd behavior and Johnson was asked if he believed that the fans had gone too far.

He answered by questioning what exactly constitutes crossing the line in the current situation. He wanted clarification on the standards being referenced.

The reporter then inquired about his opinion on whether the scenes were considered inappropriate.

Johnson responded by stating that the tournament has been unacceptable and exceeded boundaries during his 21 years on tour.

When asked why he continues to participate in Phoenix, he mentioned that he chooses to return despite not being obligated to play.

“I don’t dislike the golf course. I like the greens. I try to avoid playing on the West Coast, and these are overseeded Bermuda [greens] so that’s usually how I base my schedule. Usually it is bouncy so I can even get loft to my hands, but it was wet this week

“At some point – I don’t know what the line is,” he added. “But you have people falling out of the rafters, you have fights in the stands. It’s to the point where now, how do you reel it in? Because it’s taken on a life of its own. I think the Thunderbirds probably need to do something about it

I believe they feel embarrassed. Eventually, somebody is going to get seriously injured or even killed.

There is a woman who fell from a height of 20 feet.” “Feelings were still running high, with Johnson conceding that he was finished dealing with the consequences.

He expressed uncertainty about his return, stating, “I don’t know if I’ll be back or not.” Ultimately, it will be a decision made by the team and his wife.”

I am feeling very emotional right now, so if you are asking if I will come back, my answer would likely be no.

However, I am not sure at the moment. I feel exhausted after playing 54 holes in two days, and I am just done with everything.
